LeAnn McDonald received her undergraduate degree from the University of Washington in 1981, and her J.D., with honors, from Seattle University School of Law in 1986. Ms. McDonald was admitted to the Washington State Bar in 1986 and to the Oregon State Bar in 2007. She is also admitted to practice in the United States District Courts of Oregon and Washington as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.

Ms. McDonald was formerly an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Washington assigned to the Department of Labor & Industries and the Antitrust Division. She also served as an Assistant City Attorney for the City of Vancouver, Washington. In addition to her government service, Ms. McDonald has held a number of positions with Washington law firms focused on civil litigation. From 1993 until 1998 Ms. McDonald was a partner in the law firm of Schuchman & McDonald in Seattle, Washington.

Ms. McDonald has extensive experience in many areas of civil litigation including employment law, personal injury defense, civil rights, administrative law and product liability. Ms. McDonald has handled numerous jury and bench trials, and has extensive experience litigating before a variety of administrative tribunals. Ms. McDonald has also handled numerous mediations and settlement conferences on behalf of a variety of governmental, corporate and individual clients.
